Why ecobee thermostats are better?

So many reasons. but I would say, customer care 1st. well thought application. no need to us your phone to access basic features. Also recommended by my HVAC guy. Nest has too many issues.

I'd love to hear differently from anyone one this board.

Hi!

I've had my Nest thermostat about a year and a half now. Been working great. Easy to install (C-wire was in place) and app is very intuitive. As for needing the app, not true. I can override the temp setting with a quick stroke on the side of its case, as well as other features. I've been super impressed with it so far. Not sure what you mean by "too many issues", but I really haven't seen any.

The requirement to use your account on the google home app to set basic feature such as schedule is not an issue for you?

You were lucky. I just bought 2 defective one back to back.

Hi!

I don't think I understand your question. My Google account is tied to all my Google and Nest devices. Where I can be around the world updating my schedule for heat, an account is needed for access. Is that what you mean?

I can only set schedule on the app via my registered device on google home. I cannot set schedule on the thermostat. It is an issue when I have people outside of my familly staying over.

Hi!

That has not been an issue for me. The phone app is easy and quick to use for the scheduler. Plus, I can override the schedule on the thermostat and hold the temp at any temp I need with a quick stroke of the case. Super simple to do. As I said before, I'm really pleased with Google on how easy they've made it to use and how good it performs overall.

How do you deal with this situation? do you tell people. I control your temperature schedule?

Hi!

I got it now. Ya, I don't want guests messing around with the thermostat's schedule. They can turn it up or down easily, just not mess with the schedule. If you need others to update your scheduling, then you have the right product.
