Disable rush hour - I NEVER AGREED TO IT AND CANNOT TURN IT OFF

Please provide instruction to disable this horrific "feature". My nest is many years old and never used rush hour until today.

I contacted my energy provider and they do not enable or disable this, someone at Google did it.

Just need to know how to turn it off, is a factory reset my only option? I fear the Googlers will just turn it back on without my permission.

It took about 24h but Google was able to turn this off on their end.

I had been signed up for this "rebate" with an electric company that is not mine. Where I live there are about 40 different companies I can choose from.

I suspect this is criminal activity by electric companies, breaking in and singing up non-customers so the company can get whatever reward there is.

Bottom line...about 15 minutes on the phone with a very nice Google rep and it is fixed.
