Hi,

I have a Nest thermostat 3rd generation but after four years the heatlink unit stop working and it has no use. I have decided to buy a new Nest thermostat 3rd generation ( that will come with a new heatlink unit) and i would like to see if I can also reuse my old thermostat display with this unit. Is this even possible. Can ONE heatlink unit be controlled through 2 displays? I was thinking to have one display wired to the heatlink unit ( as I had it in the past) and the old one via WiFi. I have been searching but could not find any answers. After spending 200euro i will feel very pissed off it does not have any use. Thanks

Thanks for reaching out. Each thermostat will connect to only one Heat Link. You can't connect 2 thermostats to the same Heat Link.

This is really poor form from you Google. Particularly as the fix for the known issue with the 3rd gen heatlink is to send out a whole new set. I too now have a second display which is now totally useless despite working perfectly...what a waste. Is there anyway to just use them as a dumb room thermometer at least?

Hey @Salopslop,

Unfortunately you can't use it as a room thermometer without having it connected to the Heat Link. When we send out full unit replacements for just a Heat Link or a display we usually expect the unused and faulty parts back so our customers only have one set, which is not your case since you bought it yourself.

Hi Ana, so is it possible to get a replacement of the Heatlink even after more than four years of use? How can I get the second replacement? I am located in Spain. Is there a customer service/email address to contact to get the HeatLink replacement? Appreciated.
