New nest thermostat does not appear in nest app

I have several devices running well in my iPhone nest app (cameras, learning thermostat). I have added a new thermostat. It is visible in the google home app, but it will not appear in the nest app. Suggestions? Thank you.

We don't have a Google Nest thermostat, but it seems that some Nest thermostats work with the Google Nest app, some work with the Google Home app, and some work with both, even though they are all Google Nest products:

It may not be any consolation, but some of us customers have been discovering that the new Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in the fall of 2021 work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com even though they too are all Google Nest products.

Thank you. Yes, it seems that my new thermostat will not work with the Nest app. How disappointing. I guess it is a bad sign for the future of the Nest app.
