Nest Learning Thermostat will not keep a charge when on the wall

I have 2 Nest Learning Thermostats. One upstairs and another downstairs and neither will hold a charge. If I take off the wall, charge, then put back on the wall they work for less than 24 hrs. One or both were replaced just last year. They worked fine until recently.
