topic Heat won’t turn on again in Nest Thermostats

Woke up again to a freezing house. It’s like my thermostat has a mind of its own. It’s set to 68 but my house was 59. This has been an on and off issue since we started the furnace. I need to manually turn off the furnace and switch it back on and then the house starts to heat. I’m just about ready to trash the nest and move to another model, any suggestions?

That seems like it's a furnace issue not a thermostat issue. Is the Nest calling for heat? You can tell because the background will be orange/red and not black. Also, most furnaces these days have controllers that will blink out a fault code. A very typical problem will be it fails to sense a flame and then the controller will go into lock out. You probably want to have a tech inspect your furnace.
