<title>topic Heat Link Failure in Nest Thermostats</title>
    <link>https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Nest-Thermostats/Heat-Link-Failure/m-p/83432#M18611</link>
<description>&lt;P&gt;Here's a good tip if your heat link has failed: after disconnecting the power input connections, if you connect a phone charger or similar to the USB port on the heat link and the LEDs light up, that suggests a component on the circuit board has blown. &amp;nbsp; You'll not be able to use the heat link as the voltage is insufficient for the connected devices but an electronics engineer may be able to carry out a fix.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
