Heat Link Failure

Here's a good tip if your heat link has failed: after disconnecting the power input connections, if you connect a phone charger or similar to the USB port on the heat link and the LEDs light up, that suggests a component on the circuit board has blown. You'll not be able to use the heat link as the voltage is insufficient for the connected devices but an electronics engineer may be able to carry out a fix.
