2021 Nest thermostat

I purchased a nest thermostat. It has been working well with AC till recently when I turned it to control heater. It only turned furnace not the heater. As a result, only the cold air blows in. I hired a AC guy who diagnosed all the way to the thermostat. The thermostat is defective. How can I get the defective replacement with Google. I purchased in March 2021.
