Please add feature so we can finally control heating. Turn off preheating

Please add option to turn off preheating. Otherwise I have to set the heating manually every day because if I leave it on schedule then it always starts "preheating" my house and waking me up early.

I've talked with support and they (incorrectly) told me it was tied to the "early-on" feature (it's not - it has no effect on this).

Right now the nest is unintuitive to use and really just a pain instead of helpful.

We are having the same issue. We've had the thermostat installed for a couple of years and we have the settings so that it doesn't preheat. It hasn't been preheating until a couple of weeks ago. It preheats in the evening but not in the morning, for some reason. "Early-on" is turned off. I've checked the seeting in my app as well as directly on the thermostat. The software in the app technical info is 6.2-22. We have a Nest Learning Thermostat (model 3.4?). How do we stop the thermostat from preheating?

No, it's still an issue. The suggestion by the Google support is to reset the Nest thermostat, which seems tedious because of having to set it all up again. I haven't had time to set aside what I envision could be an hour or more to do the reset and set it up again.

The issue still exists, Google has not changed the functionality of the thermostat.

I have the same issue. Set my heating to come on at 5pm but at 4pm it's pre-heating, while I was out.

1) Why would it pre-heat before the time I set in the schedules?

2) Why would it pre-heat while I was not in the house any way?

Feels like I'm going to end up with a bigger gas bill than my basic On/Off Thermostat.
