I ended up finding out that the newer model Amana Heat Pumps are not compatible with Nest. For some reason it keeps cutting power to the compressor after 5-20 mins. I replaced with a Honeywell T9 Wi-Fi Stat and it has been working perfectly if not better. The sensors that work with it are really nice to have as well.

I just got a new HVAC system installed with a Amana heat pump and air handler with no E heat. When I turn the heat on with my Nest it only runs about 5 mins then turns the heat pump off but leaves the air handler running. When I bypass the nest or install a Honeywell stat everything works fine. Anyone else have this issue?

red - RC

orange - O

yellow - Y1

Blue - C

green - G
