topic Emergency heat in Nest Thermostats

I have a Nest thermostat. The only way I can get the heater to come on is through emergency heat. If I have it set to heat or heat/cool, the heater will not turn on. My heater is gas, but in the information page, it says electric. It does not allow me to change. Does anyone know if I will need to delete and restart to get the heat function to work?
Thanks!

Hi Mrtaylan,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the delay here.

If you're unable to do the change of fuel source, it is best to reset your thermostat to it's default settings then start the setup from scratch. Check out this guide: https://bit.ly/3riP5Dp

Keep me posted.

Best,
