..an interesting installation.
Rh, Rc and W are apparently bridged.
This makes no sense to me at first.
Besides, according to my understanding, that would mean that the heating runs constantly. And only the heating.
Sorry for the question, but does your system also cool or is it just heating?
I am really confused

My old thermostat had both red and white wires in the W slot. The nest does not allow this. I am attaching photo of old wiring and my best guess for the new. It may be obvious but I don't want to damage anything.

Not sure if photos attached. I match up wires with color slot and put the red wire in the red slot?

Hello Dottier,

Please note that when you connect your new thermostat, your HVAC and main unit are de-energized.
This will ensure that no damage is done to your equipment.
Nest does not allow a bridge, that is correct.
Unfortunately we can't see a picture.
Please upload a photo so we can see the original wiring of the old thermostat.

Only the RC ad RH are linked. I sent the wrong picture. Someone had said to cross the others to get the heat on manually. It worked once. I have removed the extra linking wire before trying to install the nest.

I have turned the power back on and the thermostat lit up but just says to setup with Google app. I got the nest app but it requires wifi connection and I am having trouble with that also. Anyway the ring on the nest does not turn and fits on so tight I cannot get it off.
