Nest Thermostat work with Honeywell r8184g4009 HVAC system

Good Evening,

I have a Honeywell r8184g4009 on a older oil furnace. I do not have a C wire on any of my thermostats. I also cannot locate an access panel on my furnace. Would a nest adapter work in my situation? I would love to purchase one but want to know before I buy.

Don't bother unless you want to spend that kind of money for something that will need to be replaced in less than 5 years.

Well that’s assuring news ha. I can upload pictures of my system if that is of any use. I’d love to get a smart thermostat and I’m sure I can do it myself I just don’t want to end up burning my house down.

Yes I am still in need of a solution. I am able to upload pictures of my system if someone could guide me on where to install the adapter.
