Removal of a nest thermostat gen 1

Nest stopped working. We can not get the thermastat to connect to the heat link. We have decided since we are selling the house to completely remove nest. I can find lots of information about installing but none on how to remove a generation 1 nest. Can anyone advise. Or if you live in Edinburgh come and do it for me 🤔😜

Yes the light is on and we have tried to reconnect them but it just won't do it for us.

Thanks for letting me know. Could you tell me please what color is the light on the Heat Link? Also, what specific steps have you tried to reconnect the thermostat to the Heat Link?

Sorry yes I still need help. My partner knows this info, but unfortunately he has a neurological condition and had a bad couple of days. I am hoping tomorrow will be better and I can ask him this info.

The light on heat link was amber. then we tried to pair it and it flashed amber and green and wouldnt do anything else.

Thanks for letting me know. In order to remove the thermostat and the Heat Link from the wall, we recommend having an installer on the spot as it's carrying 240 V of power that could prove dangerous.

You can reconnect the thermostat with the Heat Link but you will need to do some steps. You can find them here. Let me know if you need anything else.
