New nest error code 9807

I’m being driven crazy by not being able to link my Google home and nest thermostat. I get as far as the Google assistant prompt then when I press next I get error code 9807. Please please please can someone help?

Sorry for the delayed response and I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties linking your Google Home device and Nest thermostat. I want to check on this further.

A few questions — are your Google Home device and Nest thermostat set up using the same email address or different ones? Did you migrate your Nest account to Google? If yes, could you try to force close your Google Home app, reopen it then check if you see your thermostats and Google Home speakers or displays there?
