nest thermostat no reconnect

Tutorial says thermostat will try to reconnect at regular intervals. It does not ever reconnect forcing me to reset it IF I am home or remote reset gateway if away . Ripped off again by corporate thieves.

PS... I have a non rechargeable battery model with c wire and a super strong Xfinity gateway and have tried complete uninstall, cache cleanup and reinstall and the App loses connection and restarting is the only fix

Sorry if you feel that way and I completely understand why.

Just to confirm, your Nest thermostat constantly drops off and does not automatically connects back to your Wi-Fi network, right? Does this happen randomly or does it happen at specific times of the day? Also, have you tried it on another network then observe if the same issue persists?
