      <description>&lt;P&gt;Ideally post a picture of the wiring for the old thermostat so that it can be verified. If they are low voltage wires they are likely R and W. If they are high voltage wires, or it is a proprietary thermostat, a&amp;nbsp;Nest probably will not work.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The wiring block terminals of the Nest Thermostat are &lt;STRONG&gt;not required&lt;/STRONG&gt; wiring. For example one of the terminals is for cooling.&amp;nbsp; If you don't have cooling Y is not used. Only the terminals needed for a particular HVAC system are used.&lt;/P&gt;
