If they are low voltage wires they are likely R and W. If they are high voltage wires, or it is a proprietary thermostat, a&nbsp;Nest probably will not work.</P> <P>The wiring block terminals of the Nest Thermostat are <STRONG>not required</STRONG> wiring. For example one of the terminals is for cooling.&nbsp; If you don't have cooling Y is not used.
