Missing QR code

Hello,

My builders put my nest thermostat in. They didn't give me the QR code and I can't find it on the device or box so I can't set the controls up on my phone. Does anyone know how I can get it or how else I can link my phone?

I never use the QR code, just use th entry key method, works easy enough.

QR code is usually on the reverse side of the display.

Thanks for responding to this, Frustratedddd.

Hayley11, the answer above is right. You can see the QR code at the back of your thermostat display when you take it off it's base. Alternatively, you may use the entry key option instead. I've listed the steps below how to locate it:

Press your thermostat’s ring to open the Quick View menu.
Choose Settings.
Turn the ring to Nest app and press the ring to select it.
Select Get Entry Key to retrieve a unique entry key. Follow the next steps below to use your Nest app to add your thermostat to your account.

In the Nest App there is no option for QR or Key. Only for connection reset or restore. Why is this?

Hey Shadimar005,

Are you trying to add your Nest thermostat to your Nest app? If yes, and you don't see the option I've mentioned on the steps above, it could be that your thermostat is still associated with an account. You need to reset the account connection settings of it so that it will give you an entry key to be able to proceed with the setup process.
