Hi anyone know if is there a way to bypass the nest heat link so I can heat our house. Came home from a day out to find error H71. Looks like the Heat Link is dead, (no lights, but there is power getting through). Tried resets etc to no avail. Thanks in advance.

You can do a temporary bypass by linking terminal 2&3. This will give you manual mode only, and only to be used while at home as you will not have thermostat control. You can then press the heat link button, but you have to remember this is a temporary fix to get heat, and will run constantly until you press the button again when you are warm enough. Main thing it gets you heat.

Hi there, @Vic10,

@Frustratedddd, many thanks for your help. Until then, you can troubleshoot with us so we can sort it out. Please answer to the following questions:

Are you seeing any wiring report or error on the thermostat and/or the app?
Have you had any recent power cuts in your area? If yes, has the power been restored?
Have you recently had service or maintenance on your electrical, plumbing, or heating system?
If yes, how long was the power off for? (Be specific.)
Could you tell us please if you've checked on the breaker switch and fuse box?
Any blown fuse in there? Have you tried to turn the breaker switch off and on again? Any difference?
