AC cools very slowly

Our Nest looks like this most of the time now. I uninstalled and reinstalled my app and I can’t get it to schedule. I work from home, yet it thinks I’m Away. We were on the phone with a tech for about an hour today and tried several “solutions.” FYI it’s a third gen model. Should we buy a new Nest?

Thermostats are nothing but a fancy switch that is controlled by the room temperature. All it does is tell your HVAC system to turn on and off.

If your HVAC system is taking a long time to cool or heat, then there is a good chance you have something wrong with the system and not the thermostat.

When was the last time you had your system checked?

We had the hvac system looked at and that’s the problem! Thank you for your advice
