External sensor activation

I bought a nest thermostat that came with 2 temp sensors but I don’t see where I set them up either in the app or on the thermostat. What gives?

The Nest Temperature Sensor only works with the following thermostats:

Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd generation
Nest Thermostat E

For the following countries:

United States
Canada
Mexico
