It sounds like you want a permanent hold at 76, and "Eco mode" is Nest's name for that. In Settings, set your Eco temp to 76. Then turn Eco mode on. It should stay there until you explicitly turn it off.

(Possibly my reply won't be helpful, since you've already owned a Nest so you probably knew all about Eco.)

Hello - I just installed a google nest thermostat and would like to leave it set on cool 76 degrees for six months. This is easy to do on my original nest thermostat, but I’ve not been able to do it with this one so far. Maybe schedules or eco is over riding my setting.

Can anyone tell me if and how to enter a set point that the thermostat won’t over ride?

Thanks!

Thank you for your help - I just got off the phone with nest (Trevor was great) - I was missing the temperature set point in the app. It was set for a low of 82 and I wanted 76. All set now!!
