Neat thermostat bluetooth

My nest thermostat will not connect to my app. No matter how I enter it, QR code or manual, it never lets me because it won’t connect to Bluetooth. This was never needed before. Why does it need Bluetooth to work now? How can I get it to connect? I’ve read every manual. Please don’t send me a link unless it has to do with bypassing this Bluetooth thing.

Hi Catalinaw,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

Your Google Nest thermostat communicates with your phone first, through Bluetooth. It needs to be turned on for your phone and thermostat to be paired and continue with the Nest app.
