What version of software should My best thermostat be on?

My best learning thermostat shows as being on version 5.9.5-2.

Checking on the Google site shows there is a later version 6.2-27 – released 22 February 2022

Run manual check and it states up to date!

What's correct? Can anyone advise please

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

The software version for any electronic devices may differ. It depends on the device if the software is available for them to download and update. If your Google Nest thermostat is showing the device system software is updated, there's no need to worry as it is the recommended software for it to run.

Similarly mine says 6-2.22 and won't update to 27. It also never learns based on my adjustments and I'm hoping 27 fixes this but so far no luck
