Google Thermostat stuck on error connecting needs to be factory reset. I've done that already but the same error comes up. Any tips on fixing?

Thanks for posting and I'm sorry to hear about your Nest Thermostat. I want to dig deeper into it.

A few questions — is this the first time that you're setting it up on this Wi-Fi network or has it worked before? Are you getting a specific message or a code on your thermostat display or Google Home app? Also, aside from resetting it, have you tried other troubleshooting steps. If yes, kindly list them down so we can pick up from where you've left off.

After several attempts and factory resets, changing batteries, and all of the suggestions it seems to be working fine finally. Took 2 days of going back and forth with the resets. As of right now is working again. Thank you!
