Hello. I’ve read many people have had E102 error codes. My thermostat has worked without issue for over a year. I’m getting the e102 w wore error code. I’ve taken the best off the wall and unplugged/replugged the w wire into the correct port. My heat works for 3 minutes and then right back to error code. The wires are where they are supposed to be. Has the thermostat itself gone bad? Anyone else find a way to fix this?

Sorry to hear about your Nest thermostat and for the delayed response but thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community.

E102 is typically caused by miswiring the thermostat during installation, but it can also be caused by a worn part on the system’s control board which will require service by a professional.

Just to confirm, were there recent changes made on your HVAC system or Nest thermostat before this code started appearing? If there's none, could manually restart your thermostat by following the steps here. Also, check your wiring especially the W1. It was a short in the circuit board for the furnace. HVAC guy came for 4 hours, $475 later and it’s Up and running
