I have am using a Nest to control the Humidfer solenoid valve. It is presently wired to the * terminal and the humidifier operates satisfactorily when the thermostat calls for heat.

We live in a very dry climate and I want to bring more humidity to the house. I want to be able to operate the humidifer when the fan only is operating, in this way I will be able to introduce more moisture into the house by running the fan on a constant basis which I am able to do with the Nest.

In summary I want the solenoid valve on the humidifier to open when the fan only is running. I can see reference to that on the nest menus but am not able to access the necessary setting to let me do that.

Any assistance would be appreciated

Thanks

I have the same question. I'm running the Nest Learning Thermostat that allows you to adjust the humidity level from the App, but it never obtains that level becuase it only operates the humifier during heating cycles.
