Nest App not synced to the thermostat

My app shows the target temp is 65 on Heat mode, the current temp is 74 in the house; and the heat is on stage 2. At the thermostat all of the readings say the same but that the heat is not on. I’ve also confirmed that the heat is not really on.

I have the same issue. H71 reset, switched off - got the nest to work but still has not connected to the heat link - just stopped working out of the blue! Now have the heat link flashing blue and the nest 'pretending to work'

Ok so I have just been on with a google assistant and basically all it took was to hold the Heat Link button in for 30 seconds (not 20 as it states everywhere else) and then it connected with the Thermostat which I had plugged in nearby. I've since moved the thermostat back to its usual spot on another floor in the house and it is still working.
