Not able to setup sensor

I am trying to add sensor but whenever I am scanning QR could in the nest app I get a message that my thermostat software needs to be update. The thermostat is running 6.2 22 and whenever I try to update software under setting I get a message that software is up to date .

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with setting up your Nest Sensor. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

What Nest Thermostat model do you have?
Have you checked if there's an update for the Nest app?

You could also try the following steps if you haven't yet to isolate the issue:

Restart the thermostat.
Remove the battery from the sensor for at least 30 seconds, then put it back.
Try setting up the Nest Sensor again.
