Nest thermostat with Haier mini-split

Trying to find the easiest way to integrate my new Haier heat pump/AC mini split system with the Nest Learning thermostat. Anyone done this before? Trying to set it up to be dual fuel so I can have my legacy natural gas system on standby as a backup.

A problem with the majority of mini-split or ductless systems is that they are only controlled by a proprietary wireless device with which none of the Nest thermostats are compatible.

Hey Archie,

Yeah I'm all set. Finding that there's really no compatibility between them, especially given that Nest doesn't support IFTTT applets.
