I purchased a nest learning thermostat but I am having trouble cross referencing the wires. See picture of my old thermostat and help me to understand how do I connect the new thermostat

First, we need to figure out how the B and O terminals are configured.

The B terminal is used for the reversing valve which selects between heat and cooling. The B means when energized it selects heat and the O terminal is used to select cooling when energized.

You need to look at the wiring in the furnace/air handler and see what the thermostat wires are connected to and post that here. I need to know what the blue (B) wire and the orange (O) wire are connected to. If you can also post the make and model number of the furnace/air handler here it would help.
