Nest keeps changing to 66

I can’t stop my Neat thermostat from going down to 66 every day when I have it comfort set at 73 and I am home all day and the best uses my phone to know I am home. When I try to manually set it it stay at 66. I am so frustrated and tired of freezing.

I see a lot of complaints about Home/Away Assist on here. I don't use it at all, due to inconsistent results.

In fact there's a Home/Away Assist issue that's been well-known (to this forum) for a few months now. See for example https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Nest-Thermostats/Home-Away-Assist-returning-home-always-stuck... which links to a very long thread from late last year.

If you have a regular schedule when you're home vs when you're away (or even if you don't), you might be better off abandoning Home/Away Assist and setting up temperatures to fit your usual schedule. You can always override from the unit or the app. I know, annoying to buy something with a fancy feature and then not be able to use it!
