Thermostat refuses to update and connect to app.

Google nest app refuses to connect to my thermostat.

Display Firmware: 6.2-22. Update attempt returns "the thermostat will try to update later". Model: "Display-3.6"

Base software: 1.5.38 / 3.1. Model: Backplate-5.4

When attempting to connect, error td009 (18.1) on the app.

Factory reset attempted. Multiple nest connection attempts made. App reinstall attempted. Phone reset attempted. Charge for 8 hours on micro USB attempted.

Also, connection attempt with separate cell phone attempted.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with setting up your Nest Thermostat with the app. The code that you're getting means that there's a possible service issue. Have you tried rebooting everything including your router?

I lost my temper with it and replaced it with an analog. Thank you for the suggestion.
