What are the U1 wire connections (there are 2, orange and black) on my Honeywell thermostat that I am trying to trade out for a new Nest Learning Thermostat.

I don't see the same U1 ports on the Nest. Does this mean systems are incompatible? Photo 1 is the Honeywell, Pic 2 is the Nest

The Honeywell "standard" wiring uses U connection to control the Humidifier, Dehumidifier. Check with your hardware units and select the one which you have on the Online compatibility checker tool
