Hello, I normally leave my thermostat on 70, but sometimes I go look at the thermostat and it set on 65 all on its own. For some reason it has a mind of its own, I never set any schedule or anything of that nature. I just simply set cool setting on 70 and leave it.

Possibly the Nest does have a default schedule that it's following, even though you didn't set one? In that case, if you turn the dial to 70, it's a temporary hold -- the Nest obeys you only until the next set point in the schedule.

Hi folks,

@CBFox, thanks for the help!

@Passafiume1523, thanks for reaching out. In addition to what CBFox mentioned, you could also check the Nest Energy History to see the reason why your Nest Thermostat is changing the target temperature. You could click on this link to learn how to read the Energy History.

Thanks,

Edward
