installed Nest Thermostat, Settings has an ! in it

The Settings in Quick View has an exclamation point in it. So I can't use the thermostat to set up Wifi or reset or anything at all, really.

Meanwhile the people who installed it set it manually at a temperature so that's okay.

I can't set up the app because I have to get an entry key. To get the entry key I have to use Settings. But I can't use Settings on the thermostat because there's that dang exclamation point. I seem stuck. What do I do?

UPDATE: My problem is solved. Nowhere in my literature did it say to turn the outer ring after tapping settings, lol.
