&lt;P&gt;Thanks for reaching out. I would suggest only using the Eco setting when nobody is home. You could also enable the presence sensing of your Nest Thermostat so that you don't have to add your housekeeper's phone for the location. You could click on &lt;A href="https://bit.ly/3yiUDn1" target="_blank"&gt;this link&lt;/A&gt; to learn more about presence sensing.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Nest thermostat routing while away</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I tried to set a routine for the thermostat during a time we were away so that it would automatically cool when my housekeeper is here, but it defaulted to Eco because it sensed we were away. I would also like to begin cool down from away status before I return. Is it best to use the eco setting only for away? And adjust the temps depending on length of time away? Is my only option to include housekeeper phone in the location sensing list? &amp;nbsp;Thanks for any advice about how to make the auto settings work WITH me.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
