We have scanned the back panel and put in code from back panel to no avail.

We're sorry to hear about your scanning issues! That's inconvenient to experience. I'm happy to help you both with installing your device.

Google Nest thermostats are a bit different because scanning the QR code or entering the serial number isn’t needed to begin installation. The app will only ask for your thermostat’s entry key after you’ve installed it and finished selecting options. If your phone can’t scan the QR code, you can manually type in the key or serial number.

Tap Continue without scanning at the bottom of the QR code scanning screen. Then type in your product’s entry key or serial number. The key or serial number are located next to the QR code.

Then, the following should allow your device to be set up.

Tap Continue without scanning at the bottom of the QR code screen.
Select Nest thermostat from the list, then select the model you're setting up.
Tap Next.
Install your thermostat by following the instruction manual included in the box.
Tap Continue Setup when you’re done with thermostat installation and it’s powered up.
Type in the entry key you see on your thermostat’s screen. Tap Show me how if you don't see the entry key and need instructions on how to get it.

Hi, I have installed Nest Thermostat and now when I want to setup on my Iphone it is asking to scan the QR code. How to get the code for Thermostat-1.4 version on the display so I can setup on my Iphone
