I have a Honeywell Chronotherm Thermostat with 4 wires coming out of the wall. It controls both the heat and air conditioning.

White going to W post

Blue going to Y post

Green going to G post

Red going first to Rc post then continuing to the Rh post

Nest instructions say I do not need a jumper but I am not sure which Post I should put the red wire to Rc or Rh

Any help would be appreciated. Jon

Hi JBliss,

Thanks for reaching out. You can put the red wire to either Rc or Rh and you don't need to put a jumper because the Nest Thermostat will use it's internal jumper between the Rh and Rc connectors. The Nest Learning Thermostat will automatically use this internal jumper if your system needs it.

Thanks,
