Forgot pin

I lock my thermostat due to my grandson messing with the equipment and now I can’t remember the 4 digit pin. How can I get the PIN numbers or how can I reset the pin without the original pin number

Hi @sugnetta46

If your thermostat is still connected to your wifi and shows in the Nest app try unlocking it there.

To reset your Nest Thermostat without a PIN, unlock the Thermostat by selecting it on the Nest App, clicking Settings on the top-right, and selecting “Unlock”. Click on the Nest Thermostat unit to bring up the main menu, select the ‘Settings’ option, and click on the ‘Reset’ option to the right. Select the ‘All Settings’ option at the bottom. Here are more details on resetting/restarting your device as well.
