Nest Thermostat - keep in stage 1 cooling to run on solar

Hi, I would like the Nest Thermostat to stay in stage one cooling during late afternoons so I can run the AC mostly on power from my solar panels while they are producing energy. Let me know how to set this up or if this is possible. Thank you!

Hi JP951,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Google Nest Community.

The Nest Thermostat controls your HVAC unit with how you connect your wires with it. Also, you'll need to select the right equipment type from the settings. It doesn't matter if it is a gas, propane or solar power.
