Nest Humidity Reading Incorrect

Has anyone had any issues with the Nest Thermostat showing incorrect humidity values? Mine is constantly saying its around 65-70% RH but I bought a humidity monitor and its reading under 10% RH below what the Nest says. I've tried restarting and resetting the nest to factory settings but I still have this issue.

I am having the exact same issue. best showing RH 65-70% , so I bought two independent RH meters which both show 55% when testing throughout the home. I wonder if it’s an update software glitch as I don’t recall Nest showing questionalbale levels previously.

We’re having the same problem. Our Nest always showed accurate humidity, now it reads 16% too high. Tried restarting it, still wrong. Software bug?

Same issue here. My thermostats are reading 60-65% but my independent RH monitor reads around 50%.

Hi Jake, the Nest reported humidity still reads a consistent 8-10points higher than several other hygrometers throughout the house. The independent hygrometers are all very consistent with each other.

I am having same issue as well. Humidity is sometimes off by 6-8%.

I am having same issue of humidity reading on thermostat constantly above 60, right now 65 when it is not that high in the house. When will this be fixed??

It seems that no one is going to answer our problem? I’m having the same issue and it’s stressing me out as I’ve already had issues with my hvac retaining too much humidity and cause rust and mold in the unit itself. Is there any one I can contact to fix this issue??

I have given up on Google doing the right thing. I purchased a (2) pack of stand-alone thermometers with humidity sensors for less than $10 on Amazon. I keep one on each end of the house to keep an eye on humidity. Both devices measure significantly lower than the Nest and both are usually in agreement with each other so I trust them.

Having the same issue. Nest says constantly 60-70 percent humidity and I've bought separate acurite sensors and both say 44%. Seems I'm not the only one by reading this.

Same problem here. Two separate humidity sensors confirm humidity in home at 31% with Nest saying 40%. Reset didn’t fix the problem. Any help?

My Nest thermostat reads humidity at zero while my both the weather app and humidity indicator read much higher.

same issue here - was perfect spot on for months until today and now it WAY higher than all of the other humidity readings in my house. I also tried the reset and no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Exactly same issue from yesterday ramps to 65%. I hold screen to reset device and now instant 70%. I use other device and shown 53%. 70% at 23 C should makes my carpet humid, but everything its bone dry. Come one Google. Justified your product

91% vs. 47%I have the same issue. We just got a Nest installed with a new HVAC and natural gas furnace on April 14th. The humidity reported agreed with 2 other humidstats I previously owned plus the dehumidifier in our basement. Starting about the time this software upgraded (May 3rd) the humidity reports are way too high. See the photo but basically it is high 40%. Something is clearly wrong with this software version. Google/Nest, can you please comment?
