Nest Thermostat stuck with "Home" icon on screen

My Nest Thermostat has been working great since we moved into our house 8 months ago. For no apparent reason the main floor thermostat went blank. I charged it for a few hours and tried it again. Now all we get is the Home Icon on the screen but no ability to move beyond that to the heating or AC functions. I have reset by holding down for ten seconds etc., still only the Home icon... Help???
