Do I Need to Rewire My Nest Thermostat?

I have a first generation Nest learning thermostat and recently purchased a third gen model. Does anyone know if I can just swap the head units or do I need to rewire the whole thing again?

Thanks for reaching out.

You need to rewire your Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd generation as it has a different base compared to the 1st one.
