ECO mode

I know I'm one of 2.5 million people to ask this but I haven't found any resolution.

ECO mode just does whatever it wants whenever it wants.

I can't turn it off because this thermostat isn't part of the nest app just Google home... Which doesn't seem to allow that.

I created my own preset... Then I created my own schedule...

With the schedule... I can start an event but there is no way to end or close that event which is really poor programming in the first place.

I made a schedule that every single hour of all 24 hours.. Every single day... Is my custom temperature on every day of the week.

And it still just keeps turning on eco mode itself... All the time... When I'm home.. When I'm at work... When I'm in the room where the thermostat is.

I have presence sensing off... And home and away off... Still does it.

Should I just smash this worthless pile of garbage with a sledgehammer?
