Will Google "Learning" Thermostat work with Bosch Heat Pump?

So apparently the Bosch system I had installed (heat/AC) has a sophisticated variable speed heat pump that has algorithms that allegedly the Google Nest "learning" thermostat interferes with and thus should not be used. I had them install the Bosch Thermostat but I'd really much prefer the Google Thermostat. I don't use the "learning" capabilities anyway and have that turned off. Can I use the Nest with the Bosch inverter heat pump?

I am having problems with my Nest on my Bosch 2-stage heat pump now also.

Worked fine for last 10 months but now it won't reach desired temperature and barely cools.

Nest tech support says it will work BUT I spoke with a Bosch expert today who says they do not recommend Nest as the Bosch unit has variable speed compressor output etc.. Several online posts regarding this same problem.

Like you, I also prefer the Nest but....

Thanks for reaching out here in the Google Nest Community.

There are a couple of things that we can check why we're getting this behavior from the Nest Thermostat. The location, HVAC filters and the equipment selection settings is significant.

@ccmulder, could you share a photo of your current wiring configuration so we can further check its compatibility.
