Nest Factory reset when uninstalled

I uninstalled my Nest but did not factory reset before doing so. Can I factory reset while the device is on my hands or do I need to install it again?

Thanks for reaching out. The display needs to be connected to the base in order to do a factory reset on your device. Check this support website article to learn more.
