Typical daily situation: the interior temp says 74.. I set the cool to 69- the nest now ( and always)says in 2Hrs. it’s a 2 level 2700 sf house so should it take that long to cool the house by only 5 degrees?? Sometimes the Nest will say it’s even warmer (75-76) than the initial 74. not sure why temp goes up a little before going down if I’ve set it to go to 69.

PLS ADVISE- thanks

Hi emandelberg,

Sorry for the confusion you've had with your Nest thermostat readings and cooling. I know it's been a while since you posted, so I apologize for the delay in responding here. We do have an article that can help explain the differences in the temperature reading and what might be expected. You can read that here: https://bit.ly/2M0zM1Y. Take a look and see if that applies to your situation and clears some things up. If you still have questions, please let me know.

Thanks,
