Nest thermostat heatlink showing no lights

The nest thermostat reports that it cannot connect to the heatlink. The heatlink is showing no lights at all. I have tried pressing the button for 10 seconds and 30 seconds on the heatlink but still no lights show. Also tried turning the power supply to the heatlink on and off with no lights coming on. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead. I am sorry that you're having troubles with your thermostat, but no worries — help is here. Could you tell me when it started happening? Which type of Nest Thermostat do you have (Nest Learning Thermostat 2nd gen/3rd gen, Nest Thermostat E, or Nest Thermostat 2020)? Also, what country are you located in?
