Fujitsu UTY-TTRX + Have Nest Know it’s a Heat Pump

Hello!

I followed this previous post (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Nest-Thermostats/Fujitsu-UTY-TTRX-Nest-step-by-step/m-p/27918#M5385 ) which is very helpful, but doesn’t allow the nest to know W1 is heat pump and W2 is the auxiliary heat.

does anyone know how to get the heat pump functionality with this wiring setup?? Anyway to “make” the best think W1 is a heat pump and W2 is in fact auxiliary like it would have an O/B line?

Hello there Matt12eagles,

Welcome to the Nest Community Forum! Let me just ask a few questions about your particular set up, just to be safe:

Is your wiring set-up identical to the post you linked?
Does your HVAC system use Stage 1 Heating with AUX heat, or Stage 2 Heating with AUX heat?
Is your HVAC system a Single Transformer, or a Dual Transformer?

In any case, with the amount of wiring swapping required, I would recommend that you reach out to Nest Support before you attempt any wire swaps, so you can have a live person help you in case anything goes haywire.
